One of the top 15 finalists for the contest conducted by the Government of India
In 2009, the finance ministry announced a design contest, open to all Indian nationals, to find the Indian currency’s counterpart to $ (Dollar), £ (Pound), € (Euro) and ¥ (yen). The symbol had to be rooted in Indian though and reflect Indian culture & ethos. The contest received more than 4,000 qualifying entries.
Below is the presentation of the entire design process.
My entry was one the 15 shortlisted final designs.
